Zuma Apology questioned

Posted on | 2010-02-08

Back To Home
Since the CDP called for President Zumas resignation on Monday the 1st
February, almost all opposition parties have followed suit and are now
joining in the call for him to go said Rev Theunis Botha leader of the
Christian Democratic Party (CDP) and acting chair of the Christian
Democratic Alliance (CDA).

Unfortunately President Zumas latest apology cannot be taken seriously, as
he had apologized to the nation before and obviously didnt mean it.

One wonders what motivates the ANC to choose a leader that they obviously
felt could embarrass them, as it is reported that they ordered him to make
a full disclosure of his sexual dalliances and children, illegitimate or
otherwise, after the Polokwane conference.

Their lack of judgement has led to, not only their own embarrassment, but
has seriously damaged the countrys image abroad, and the image of the
presidency at home.

The ANCs record as a government is becoming more and more tarnished as the
years roll by. One would have expected them to improve as they gained
experience, they are; however, getting worse. Instead of acting quickly and
decisively, as they did with Mbeki, they have continued to support Zuma, by
giving him another chance.
