	The ink in the Dutch newspaper Trouw had not yet properly dried in which the focus was placed on South African farm murders, before yet another elderly farmer is shot dead, says Christian Democratic Party (CDP) leader, and acting chair of the Christian Democratic Alliance (CDA), Rev. Theunis Botha. Botha reacted to the incident in which a 70 year old, Koos van Staden of Hoedspruit, was shot dead through a window, while he and his wife were asleep in their bed. The attacker or attackers fled when Mrs. Van Staden returned fire. What more can we do but once again call on government to condemn this attack, and reject statements made by ministers such as Tokyo Sexwala who blames farmers for governments failures. We express condolences to Mrs. Henriette van Staden and other next of kin.
